Braillers

Effective February 04, 2010
the Brailler Club ceased operation.
The Brailler repair club was started in the summer of '93 and since that date they have repaired over 2250 machines which has taken over 10,000 hours of labour for the C.N.I.B. (as of December, 2009).
The current members are:
Bill Bauld, Gary Beaune, Bob Middleton, Ron Green, Jim Endicott and Dave Gardiner.
The Perkins Brailler was designed by David Abraham. After many years of research and design, Howe Press manufactured the Perkins Brailler in 1951. Although some improvements have been made over the years, the current model is remarkably similar to the original.
The Perkins Brailler has made a significant contribution to the education and rehabilitation of blind people in over 140 countries throughout the world. Its success can be attributed to it's efficient design, quality workmanship, and renowned durability. It is the standard for mechanical braille writers in the world.
This is a list of the club members that have been involved with the Brailler club from the beginning to the end.
